How to Exercise When You Have Trouble Focusing

Stress is the main agitator of the mind leading it to lose track of things or focus.  So what are you going to do when your mind is just at very agitated point and can’t get it together, and you have been missing out from your exercises?  No need to put in another form of stress to stir up your mind further, here are some tips to help you exercise when you have trouble focusing.

Incorporating stretching before any of your physical activities may have been part of the routine already, but it is more than just a way to prevent injuries from happening, as it is  a very good way to help your mind focus.  Just go about your ordinary stretching exercises only this time, let your limbs and body stretch in accordance to your breathing. You should always stretch before performing any exercises on your healthrider treadmill or your ab lounge sport

For example, as you are stretching the muscles around your throat by tilting the head backwards, you can breathe in deeply while your head is its normal position and as you exhale little by little, tilt your head backwards slowly until the outflow of air stops.  Again, inhale as much air as you can with your head tilted backwards, and exhaling slowly, slowly move your head back to its normal position.

Do this with every stretching exercise and you will be amazed with how much focus will jump back in your mind.  This is due to the proper circulation of air inside your brain, which helps it run better and efficiently.

Another thing you can do is to put in relaxing music.  Classical and meditative music, smooth jazz, and even pop music have been found to stimulate the mind to go in a relaxed state.  Smooth music will help you to achieve smooth fitness. Play relaxing music before you start your exercise routine and it will help you concentrate with your work out.

Also, being mindful with the repetitions of your exercises will help your mind focus on the task at hand, especially if you rhythmically count your repetitions.  A simple counting of 1-2-3-1-1-2-3-2.., can get much of the mind’s attention making it focus better.

If your focus is nowhere near tight and you need to get your body in shape, do these simple steps to help you exercise when you have trouble focusing.  Doing stretching routines in accordance to your breathing, playing relaxing music, and being mindful of the repetitions, are but simple ways to get you back with your workout regimen.
